Height: Typically reaches 2 to 6 metres, but can grow even taller under optimal conditions
Width: Usually has a diameter of 15 to 30 centimeters
Native to: The Andes Mountains of South America, including Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia
Foliage type: Thick, ribbed, and cylindrical stems with clusters of spines along the ribs
Growth rate: Moderate to fast-growing, particularly when provided with ideal conditions
Flowers: Large, fragrant, white flowers that bloom in late spring to early summer, usually at night
Light: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight to full sun for optimal growth and flowering
